1. Try Using Hot Water

Using Hot Water is the best way to deal with minor toilet clogging situations. You just need to fill a pan and heat it for a short amount of time. Once the water becomes really hot and close to its boiling point, just pour it into the clogged toilet.

Let it sit there for a few minutes and then try flushing the toilet. In most cases, using hot water would do the trick for you. It is simpler and doesn’t require a whole lot of effort on your part.

2. Use Dish Soap

You can also use Dish soap on a clogged toilet with poop. Take about 1/4th of a cup and pour it into the toilet. It would take about 10 to 15 minutes to reach the cogged spot.

Wait for that amount of time and then add hot water. Don’t use boiling water because it can become a hazard for you. Again, wait for 5 to 10 minutes and the toilet should be ready to be flushed by now.

3. Use A Combination of Baking Soda & Vinegar

If the problem still persists, you need to put some effort in now. Our next tip is for serious situations and is proven to work for more than 95% of the time. You need to take 1 cup of baking soda and 1 cup of vinegar and pour it down the toilet.

The chemical reaction associated with the combination of baking soda and vinegar would make the debris bubble up and would unclog the toilet. You can also add some hot water to further speed up the process.

4. Use a Chemical Drain Cleaner

There are some chemical drain cleaner products available in the market which are solely meant for unclogging the toilets. It is recommended that you have one of these products at your disposal, at all times.

These products would be extremely handy for emergencies. These cleaners contain chemical ingredients that fight off the stuff that’s been clogging the toilet.

5. You Can use a Coat Hanger

This drastic measure is obviously a bit unpleasant but if all the above-mentioned methods don’t work, this is what you need to do. You probably have a coat hanger at your home. Take one, unwind it to straighten it up, and use it to unclog the toilet.

One more thing, cover the hook of the hanger with a piece of cloth so that you don’t hurt your hand.

Once you have taken all the necessary precautions, you can go and start the unclogging process. Don’t forget to flush the toilet once you have done unclogging with the hanger.

6. Use a Brush as a Last Resort

If your toilet is seriously clogged, and you don’t have a plunger that you can use, you can also use a brush instead. It is unpleasant but you don’t have any other choice. This is the only way that you have left.

Use the brush and try to unclog the toilet. It would require a lot of effort from your part, so you need to mentally prepare yourself.

Final Words

A clogged toilet presents an unfortunate situation, especially when you have no other choice to deal with except doing it yourself. The above-mentioned methods would help you unclog your toilet when you don’t have access to a plunger.

These methods would work for minor clogs but if they don’t work, going to a professional Plumbing service is your only option. Find out a reputable Plumbing service near you to take care of the job for you.
