Everything you want to know about buying an A-Frame Trailers in less than 5 minutes

Originally designed by Ralph Tait, the A-Frame trailer has been delighting campers since the 1970s. A-frame camper has a lot more to offer than most people expect.

A Guide to A-Frame Trailers

Tait designed these trailers to offer all the benefits of a pop-up camper despite being lightweight enough to be towed by a car.

Today, we’re going to talk you through six reasons why you need an A-Frame Trailer in your life:

1. The Perfect Weight for Towing

As we mentioned before Ralph Tait designed the A-Frame trailer to offer all the benefits of a pop-up camper, whilst being a towable trailer.

Why not just buy a pop-up camper? Well, A-Frame Trailers are significantly cheaper, they’re easy to store, and they’re far more fuel-efficient.

One of the major benefits of choosing an A-Frame Trailer over a camper is that whilst you are on holiday you have the luxury of you using your own car.

You don’t have to worry about driving a camper down long, winding country roads or trying to find somewhere safe to park outside 7/11 while you stock up on food.

A-Frame Trailers can be put up and down in under 30 minutes and offer a kind of flexibility other motor homes just can’t compete with.

2. Amazing Capacity

If we had a dollar for every time someone was shocked by the storage space in our A-Frame Trailer then we’d be grotesquely rich.

A-Frame Trailers fold down into such a compact form that it feels like they shouldn’t offer any storage space at all.

However, the A-Frame is more than happy to prove us all wrong on this one. The flat tops of the folded-down A-Frame can store large items like boats and bikes.

Inside you can store furniture, food, and any other essentials. Most A-Frames will come with internal and external storage compartments on top of this.

You will be able to pack anything you want inside your A-Frame.

3. Top Quality Bathrooms (for the size)

Just because A-Frame Trailers can be folded down, it doesn’t mean they can’t offer everything a camper can. The way the A-Frame folds down allows for all sorts of hardware inside the trailer – including functioning kitchens and bathrooms.

If you know where to look it’s really easy to purchase A-Frames with amazing bathrooms. And it’s just as easy to install a new, state-of-the-art bathroom yourself.

All the necessary plumbing is protected by the hard outer shell of the A-Frame, so you don’t need to worry about leaks during transit.

4. Exteriors That Can Survive the Elements

‘Isn’t an A-Frame just a glorified tent?’

Well, if you’ve ignored points 1 through 3 (which include the fact that you can have a warm shower in your A-Frame), then let us give you another reason why A-Frames are a lot more than a tent on wheels.

A-Frame trailers have solid, robust walls that can survive whatever weather conditions are thrown at them. You don’t need to worry about leaks or tent poles collapsing, and you certainly don’t need to worry about your A-Frame blowing away.

A-Frame Trailers also come with doors that can be locked, providing the kind of security you could never get in a tent.

5. Comfort Above All Else

We’ve already mentioned that A-Frame Trailers offer opportunities for warm showers and sturdy toilets. But that isn’t where their range of comfort ends.

In an A-Frame Trailer, you don’t have to worry about throwing your back out whilst sleeping on a bedroll. You don’t need to pull out your 20-year-old deck chairs just to have somewhere to sit.

How?

Well, the hard casing of A-Frame Trailers means that you can safely travel with proper double beds and sofas inside your trailer. We’ve even seen people traveling with coffee tables and TV sets.

Many A-Frame trailers even come with a gazebo attached to the side. These provide you with a nice place to sit and enjoy the views, whatever the weather.

6. The Available Overall Space Will Blow Your Mind

The people who design the interiors of A-Frame Trailers are some of the best problem solvers in the world. The amount of furniture they can fit into one trailer, while still keeping it feel roomy is astonishing.

This can be done through smart placement of furniture and utilizing convertible furniture and hardware to make the most of the space.

Traveling with an A-Frame Trailer means you’ll never have to compromise on space, comfort, or utility while you travel.
