There are some moments when you need a good tree removal service in your residence. For instance, to remove dead trees or trees that have become a threat to your property and could cause accidents, especially during storms.

Also, the leaves could be interfering with the power lines, or the tree could have reached its growth limit.

You don’t want that job left up to an amateur who doesn’t know what they’re doing.

A professional tree removal service will help you save time and money and ensure that safety is taken into account with the removal process.

A professional removes trees in various ways depending on their equipment. The first is to cut the tree down with a chainsaw.

This can be difficult if it’s too high up or otherwise inaccessible. So, companies will use other methods like heavy machinery and cranes instead.

Here are ways in which professionals remove a tree:

Examine and Clear the Surroundings

The first thing a professional tree remover does is to examine the tree and clear the area. Next, they find out where the root system is and if there are any other obstacles nearby.

They may contact your local utility company to find out if they have any gas lines, power lines, or water pipes close to the tree.

This is important because these utilities can pose a risk when cutting down trees.

Hence, it is important to make sure that they know where they are before moving on with anything else.

After getting approval from the utility companies and knowing what’s around the tree, they decide on the type of equipment that will be the best for the job.

Different types and sizes of tools can work depending on where the tree is located in relation to those utilities, property location, or any other obstacles.

Tree examination involves measuring the circumference and the height of the tree to get an idea of how much the task will entail.

It also entails looking for any damage to the trunk or branches, as well as how tall it is versus anything else in the yard.

Wearing protective clothing before getting started on the actual removal is essential. Depending on how big the tree is, remove the leaves and branches first.

Removing The Trunk

Debarking is the process of removing the bark from a tree. If you do not debark, it can become brittle and break off in chunks as the saw or chainsaw cuts through.

Debarking also makes the trunks weaker. This is something that cannot be done without an expensive chipper-shredder with a large capacity for chips. It would be so difficult to clean up all those broken pieces.

Many arborists have the same techniques for cutting tree trunks. A chainsaw is used to cut a notch in the trunk, usually about one-third of its circumference from either side of the base.

The depth and width can vary depending on how tall or wide the tree is. Once this is done, the tree is dropped into a notch on its side.

It must be cut from both sides to ensure that it will fall completely, not just lean over or twist in one direction.

Once debarking and cutting off limbs is complete, most professionals use track machinery with hydraulic arms to pull sections of trees out of steep areas where they are difficult to reach.

This process is often used for trees that are difficult or impossible to cut down with a chainsaw, such as those held up by the roots only or twisted too tightly around other trees and objects to be sawed efficiently.

When it’s not possible for a truck to get close enough due to terrain issues, the company will use a crane or bucket truck.

Removing a Stump

When removing a stump, there are four steps: First, the ground is loosened around it to make removal easier.

Second, the tree’s roots are cut with an ax or chainsaw and pulled back from all sides of the base so they’ll break loose more easily when pulling on them.

Third, a tractor pulls up close to the stump and grabs it with a chain attached to its front-end loader.

The load is lifted, twisted, and pulled until the roots give way. Finally, the tree’s trunk can be broken, if necessary, by cutting through large woody sections near ground level or driving over them with heavy machinery.

Chainsaws and axes can also be used for smaller jobs
