If you’re serious about starting a commercial painting business and doing it right, you need to invest in the right tools. A good quality paint sprayer is one of the best investments you can make and will pay for itself many times.

The key to success with your commercial painting business is using high-quality equipment, training your painters well, and being able to produce a quality product quickly.

5 Ways to Improve Your Commercial Painting Business

Here are 5 ways that you can improve your business like commercial and industrial painting- with Jetblack Painting did in throughout in their tenure:

1. Learn More About the Commercial Painting Business

The first thing you will need to do is get more familiar with the different types of commercial jobs available and what’s involved. Visit various construction sites and talk to contractors and property owners who are currently having their buildings worked on or painted.

You need to learn what they expect from the painters they hire, what they regard as the best materials, and how they are planning their job schedule.

2. Safety

You should have safety procedures and protocols in place for any job that is done on-site. This will keep your employees safe and your business liability risk low.

When there is no safety management in place, accidents are more likely to happen, which will make it more difficult to find qualified employees and may cost you a lot more money in the long run.

3. Communication

Make sure that you have an effective communication system in place to relay information from the offices to the people who are doing the work.

If you do not have an effective system for communicating with your workers, then you will end up spending a lot of time trying to pass along information verbally, or worse yet, waiting for someone else to do it for you.

This can cause delays and mistakes, which is something that no one wants to deal with. Also, having clear communication systems in place makes it easier for decisions to be made quickly because everyone involved will know what is going on at all times.

4. Know Your Market

Get to know your market before you start bidding on jobs. Do research into what kinds of projects are going on around your area and understand what kinds of companies typically do those kinds of projects.

By understanding where you fit into the big picture and what potential clients expect from painting contractors, you can tailor your services accordingly and develop a niche in the market that will help keep you busy year-round.

5. Offer Options

Painting is a little like blackjack – it’s all about odds. If a customer has three choices and each choice has an equal chance of being the best choice, then they’ll pick one at random.

It’s best to provide clear choices that each has a different advantage over the others for as many items as possible (but not every item).

For example, if you are painting a house, there may be a base price for just painting or adding an extra coat (like a high-quality primer). It’s also good to offer choices such as paint type (latex or oil) and quality (low VOC or no VOC) since those things make a difference in the long run.
