5 Awesome Reasons to Move to Utah This Year

See below for several reasons that you should move to Utah this year. As if you needed any more reasons to do so!

1. Beauty Surrounds You

This is the most obvious reason of all, and the reason that most people move to Utah in the first place. It’s a beautiful mixture of mountains, trees, mesas, lakes, and so much more.

The beauty of this fine state is so vast, that it’s many people’s target vacation destination. People will travel to Salt Lake City at the drop of a hat!

You will enjoy some of the most amazing national parks—five of them, to be exact—in the state of Utah. Known as “The Mighty 5”, these include:

  1. Zion National Park
  2. Capitol Reef National Park
  3. Canyonlands National Park
  4. Arches National Park
  5. Bryce Canyon National Park

Within these parks, you’ll see amazing red cliffs, natural fixtures, mountains, snowy cliffs, and some of the most unique wildlife in the entire Continental United States.

But that’s not all! You will also set your eyes on some amazing natural water spots as well, such as Bridal Veil Falls and Lower Calf Creek Falls.

All of this could be located in your own backyard if you want it! Make the move to the amazing state of Utah to enjoy some of the most beautiful landscapes you’ve ever seen.

2. Optimal Transportation

The state of Utah has drastically improved its transportation system over the past few years, mainly in Salt Lake City.

People from all over the country will tell you what a privilege it is to fly in or out of the Salt Lake City International Airport.

What’s awesome about Salt Lake City (and its surrounding cities) is that it features the Light Railway System, known locally as TRAX. Public transport is clean, safe, and used by many local civilians.

Unlike other states in the four corners, Utah makes it relatively easy to travel from city to city. You won’t have any problems getting to or from, no matter whether you’re driving or flying.

This can also help you with the big move. If you’re the only one making the move to Utah, you’ll have peace of mind knowing that people can visit you easily.

3. Access to Winter Sports

Ask anyone that’s moved to Utah and most of them will tell you that the most eye-opening aspect of it was being exposed to winter sports.

While the year-round weather throughout the state typically never gets below 32-degrees Fahrenheit, winter sports are still plentiful. This has to do, partially, with the snow-capped mountains throughout the state.

It’s so prevalent that many people make their way to Utah during the winter months to enjoy skiing, snowboarding, sledding, ice skating, snowmobiling, and others.

But don’t let that fool you, the state still has four well-defined seasons each year. Just about the time you get tired of the cold and snow, the weather will warm up!

4. Strong Housing Market

Imagine being able to say that you live in a place called “Salt Lake City”. How cool would that be? The housing market in Utah is thriving, especially in the larger cities throughout the state.

The typical average for a home is around $300,000 or so state-wide, but that number can vary, depending on the city you’re interested in.

There are many more housing opportunities than you may realize. For example, a simple search of “new homes near me” in Salt Lake City can show you to places near Park City, Layton, Spanish Fork, Orem, Lehi, and more.

Invest in a new Utah property today and reap the benefits years down the line. With the thriving economy wrapped around it, your home will undoubtedly rise in value, with no signs of slowing down.

5. Amazing Culture

With so many things to do and places to see in nature, the culture around Utah has grown into something unique. People are happy, healthy, and hip.

If you like breweries and hang-out spots, then Utah is the place for you. New breweries and distilleries are popping up every day.

This is partially thanks to the young professionals that make up a large percentage of Utah’s growing population. These days, young ones graduate college and head west to Utah.

Conveniently nicknamed the Beehive State, Utah is gathering young and health-minded professionals looking to grow their careers and networks. If you’re looking for a city or state with a different vibe, then this is where you’ll find it.

We recommend that you take an initial trip to Utah to get a feel for the culture yourself. You will quickly see that this way of life isn’t partial to Salt Lake… it’s a state-wide feel!

Move to Utah to Begin Your New Life

Now that you have seen several awesome reasons why a move to Utah could be the reset that you need, it’s time to take the next steps!

Start by looking into the real estate opportunities. Do some research on the cities in Utah and which ones might be the best fit for your needs.
