Bathroom Cleaning Tips

Your bathroom is one of the rooms in the house that requires daily cleaning. Have you ever gone to someone’s bathroom and thought, Woah! Who died in there? But, all joking aside, cleaning the bathroom can feel like a massive task if you are not strategic. Continue reading to learn practical tips to help you clean your bathroom quickly.

Clean The Cabinets

If you fail to clean the bathroom for a few days, you may experience a weird smell coming from the bathroom. You cannot avoid the foul smell. But before you get on your knees and start scrubbing the floor, remove the items first. Even if you do not want to, you must clean the bathroom now.

  • Take out the cabinet’s candles, soaps, shampoo bottles, and other items. Put them somewhere else for the time being.
  • Remove the curtain around the bathtub. If you have green plants in your bathroom, bring them out for thorough cleaning.

Get Cleaning Supplies

To clean the bathroom successfully, you must have all the cleaning supplies ready. Here are the things you will require to clean bathroom floors, bathtub, and toilet bowl.

  • Toilet Brush
  • Toilet Bowl Cleaners
  • Sponge
  • Tile cleaner
  • Rags/Mops
  • Rubber Gloves
  • Brooms
  • Dustpans
  • All-purpose cleaning spray
  • Glass cleaners
  • Buckets
  • Vacuum

Remove Mold

If you do not regularly clean your bathroom, you will find mold accumulated on tiles and corners. Removing mold might take time and hard work. Pour all-purpose cleaning solutions on a mop and start cleaning.

Many times, the accumulation of mold may lead to more serious problems. At times, you may find mold and mildew have ruined your pipelines. The leaky pipes are a problem in the house.

You can get leaky pipes in the kitchen and the bathroom. If you do not have experience fixing leaky pipes around the house, it is better to call an expert handyperson to take care of the moldy pipes. You may learn more about leaky pipes to understand the root cause of the issue.

Clean The Bathtub

Cleaning the bathtub might be easier than you imagined. You must pour a good cleaning solution into the bathtub and rub the surface with a hard mop a few times. You will see the lost shine of the bathtub has returned, and the porcelain surface looks good enough to eat off of.

Reinstall

Once the bathtub and the toilet bowl are cleaned, it is time to reinstall the curtains and bring back the green plants. It is the accumulation of mold itself that emits a foul smell.

Keep a few scented candles in the bathroom to keep the foul smell away. Once the pipelines are fixed, and the mold is gone, you will have a fresh bathroom.
