Finding the Best Air Conditioner Option in Mandurah

For those of us who live in Mandurah or Perth, we know that air conditioning plays an important role during our long hot summers and chilly winters.

If you’re looking to invest in an air conditioning system, but aren’t sure which type is right for you, we’ve put together a list of the best types of air conditioning Mandurah and Perth.

  1. Ducted Refrigerated Air Conditioning

Ducted refrigerated systems allow you to warm or cool the entire home while filtering the air and removing humidity. This system runs on electricity, meaning you’ll get reliable heating and cooling, no matter what the temperature is like outside.

Ducted refrigerated systems use electricity to run, and can, therefore, be more costly to run. Outside there is a condenser unit that connects to a duct system in the ceiling space of your home. The heating function works by reversing the refrigeration cycle.

  1. Ducted Evaporative Air Conditioning

Similar to ducted refrigerated systems, ducted evaporative air conditioning provides cooling throughout the whole home using ducts. The difference is that evaporative systems rely on the natural process of evaporation rather than electrically-driven refrigeration processes.

A central cooling unit is installed on top of the roof. A fan inside the cooling unit draws in warm air from outside and passes it through a set of moist pads which cools and filters the air before delivering the fresh, chilled air throughout the home.

Evaporative systems are much more economical to run than refrigerative systems. However, their effectiveness can be compromised if the air is very humid, and they do not provide precise temperature control like the refrigerated systems.

Evaporative air conditioning for Mandurah or Perth homes tends to work well as these areas have a drier climate.

  1. Wall Split Air Conditioning

Wall Split systems are ideal for heating and cooling a single room in the home. They provide excellent temperature control and are particularly effective in smaller spaces. Because of their small size, wall split systems are relatively cheap and fast to install.

Wall split systems come in many different types such as the traditional wall-mounted option and the more unique floor mounted, ceiling cassette, and multi-head options. The indoor unit is connected to an outdoor unit which expels the hot or cold air.

  1. Multi-Head Air Conditioning

Multi-Head air conditioners are split systems that have two or more indoor units connected to a single outdoor unit. This means you can heat and cool multiple rooms of a home while saving space outside with only one outdoor unit.

Multi-Head systems rely on the same technology as traditional split systems. On the cooling cycle, warm air from inside the home is removed by a fan and coil in the indoor unit and for heating, the cycle is reversed.

  1. Ceiling Cassette Air Conditioning

Ceiling cassette systems have an indoor unit that is installed on the ceiling and an outdoor unit which removes the hot air, letting filtered cool air back inside. They work in the same way as the traditional wall mounted split systems to cool or heat an indoor space.

Ceiling cassette systems are ideal for commercial settings and large open spaces such as hotels, restaurants, cafes, and offices.

The indoor unit is very discrete, installed flush with the ceiling. Although these systems tend to be more expensive, they are more powerful than smaller split system air conditioners.

Choosing the Right Air-Con Specialist in Mandurah

With so many options available, selecting the right type of air conditioner can be tricky. An air-conditioning specialist can guide you in the right direction, taking into account your specific needs and situation.

If you’re going to invest in an air conditioning system, you want advice and services that you can trust.

With that in mind, here are some top tips for finding the right air-con specialists:

  1. Big Corporation or Family Owned Business?

With a family-owned business, you often get looked after better. You might even be dealing with the owner directly or at least a small team of people who are passionate about what they do and passionate about helping you.

  1. Pushy or Helpful?

Pushy salesman – no one likes that! It’s hard to trust someone when they just want to get their hands on your money. Choose an air conditioning specialist who offers you honest advice, presents you with alternative options, and takes time to listen to your needs.

  1. How Many Experiences Do They Have?

If they’ve been in the game for a while, they likely have the knowledge and skills to provide you with more reliable advice and better services.

  1. What Brands are They Recommending?

Do they back reputable brands that manufacture high-quality products?

  1. What Are Others Saying?

Check out the reviews – have others had a good experience with them?
