What Do We Excavate? Are you thinking about hiring an excavation company? When you think of the word “excavate” you might consider things that are made of rubble, dirt, and earth.

Excavation Or Construction Work by an Excavation ContractorWhat’s most important to think of is the overwhelming size of the site that needs to be handled, right? It might be an enormous task, especially given the weight of items that need to be transported.

Thinking of the most massive excavation projects in history, it’s easy to think of the geography of Florida . There are many theme parks in Florida that are situated over wetlands, swamps, and alligator-filled territories.

In the 1960s and 1970s, theme parks began to populate that entire area, requiring construction work that could only begin with a substantial excavation project. Trillions of cubic tons of earth, mud, soil, dirt, and most importantly, flora and fauna were removed from the site so that Florida could become the financial engine that it currently is today.

In order to create that financial powerhouse, Florida had to grant special governmental privileges to those companies. It was key to their development that they enjoyed such a special status, so they did not have to go through the red tape of dealing with the United States Government.

Unfortunately, government intervention does not always help matters sometimes, the government being involved can slow things down considerably. That is why when you finally get a great construction company for your job, you should hire someone who will move quickly and efficiently.

When we think of all the lands in Florida that were once sighted by the Italian colonizer Amerigo Vespucci, we usually think of all the hogs he released that wreaked havoc on the Seminole tribes (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seminole).

However, those tribes we now know as Seminole are actually a collection of multiple Native American tribes that populated that area.

In order to distinguish the entire region of Indigenous people, Europeans simply began calling them Seminoles. With no regard for the traditional method of Seminole excavation, modern companies had to turn to new methods.

Industrial Revolution and Engineering

The Industrial Revolution was responsible for many developments in how human beings were able to build large edifices. Before, it would take thousands and sometimes millions of workers to create the huge structures we now know as the world’s greatest wonders.

For example, the pyramids in Zimbabwe are just as impressive as the pyramids found in Egypt. However, when Europeans investigated Zimbabwe in the late 1800s, they refused to believe that dark-skinned black Africans could create pyramids that were so majestic and gorgeous.

Thus, they created the Myth of Great Zimbabwe, arguing that such burrowing could only be done if the people of Zimbabwe had a secret white ancestor. Click here to read more about this problematic farce.

The reason we are discussing this now is so we understand just how important it is that human beings have developed methods of unearthing land that can create huge structures.

The existence of excavating equipment represents an enormous advancement in humanity, and the lack of excavation equipment before the 1700s spoke to the genius of human innovation and coordination.

Therefore, when we think of excavators now, we cannot just think about the massiveness of the job. We also have to think about what post-modern innovations have been created to enhance the workmanship of creating massive spaces so that structurally sound edifices can be built on top of them. Thus, it is important that we think about cleanliness.

Cleanliness is Important

There are many excavation companies that are untidy, who leave a lot of mess behind, and toss their dirt and soil in inhospitable places.

Many companies in America, for example, unearth waste from rich white neighborhoods and throw their waste in African-American neighborhoods. This is called environmental discrimination.

But when we think of cleanliness, there are several companies that hold themselves to a higher standard. A great example is Peden Industries Ltd, a company that is known for its cleanliness and respect for the environment.

Very often, people excavate in sites and do not actually finish the job completely! They excavate just enough to create the structure they desire and then they ignore the areas surrounding the excavation, thereby angering their neighbors and making the environment look unfortunate.

Some companies also forget that paying attention to the drainage in the land and the area is an integral part of the cleanliness of the job. Imagine someone hollows out some land and they ignore the drainage, and then the area becomes muddy quite quickly thereafter.

Drainage is essential to cleanliness because sewage and piping go in tandem with the way the site has been cleaned. For example, a parking lot has to be properly constructed atop an area that has been correctly and sufficiently drained.

Otherwise, you could end up with a massive sinkhole in the middle of your parking lot! What would happen if someone simply did not clean, drain, and level the land properly before laying the asphalt over the excavated land? Thus, it is important to hire a company that puts cleanliness first.

Lastly, when we are looking at clearing land, we must have respect for the environment around us. The trees, bushes, grass, swamps, and wetlands all deserve to be cleared with the utmost respect for the environmental landscape around them.

It is important to take care to not interfere with electrical wires and poles that could disrupt service to residents. Additionally, the animals that live in the area must be treated with care so as to not disrupt the living environment of the residents who were already there.

Thus, you have to hire a company that balances professionalism and cleanliness with respect for the land around them!
