You must have heard the famous proverb that goes like “small things make big difference”! That is true about life as well. The small everyday habits make and break your lifestyle, therefore it is essential to pay attention to those small things that you do in your everyday life.

You may find this hard to believe, but something as small as not taking a shower can impact your psychology in a way that you may feel depressed and irritated.

So imagine if something so normal can make such a big difference then what outcome you will get once you make some small positive changes in your lifestyle.

Now, we understand that it is hard to look for something negative in your daily life. And maybe there’s not something negative about your lifestyle, but maybe it’s not completely positive, and working on those areas is the easiest way to bring some happiness in your life.

To help you out, we are here with a list of some small changes that you can include in your daily routine to live a healthier and happier life, read on and pledge to yourself that you will adopt at least three habits from the below list immediately.

Smile More Often

We know this must be confusing, like how can smiling be a habit? But let us complete. We often smile just when we are feeling good or you are happy, but did you know that you can actually make yourself feel happy by smiling without any reason? When you smile, your brain releases dopamine, a chemical that is known as the “happy hormone’ of the body.

Dopamine gives you a feeling of happiness and well-being, and this happens just by a single act of smiling. So, try to smile as much as you can to make yourself feel as happy as you want.

Healthy Sleep

The term “beauty sleep” is extremely popular, and for all the right reasons. A healthy sleeping schedule not only impacts your physical form but also makes a huge difference to your psychological health.

Healthy sleep does not mean oversleeping and it does not mean undersleeping as well. The term healthy sleep implies 7 to 8 hours of undisturbed peaceful sleep. This type of sleep can actually make you look and feel fresh.

The most productive and useful habit that can ever adopt is reading. Reading is like a workout to your mind and soul.

It is not necessary for you to readjust knowledgeable things, you can read whatever you want there are tons of genres available.

Take your pick from romance, science fiction, thriller, mystery, humor, or whatever you like, and put your reading glasses on. As Roberto Bolaño once said, “reading is never a waste of time”, you always learn something new.

Treat Yourself

One of the worst things we do to ourselves is look up to others for approval, while in the end, their opinion doesn’t even matter.

Real happiness comes from within so instead of seeking appreciation from others, appreciate your own self and treat yourself for small achievements.

For example for your birthday, don’t for someone to send cake to Noida for you, instead order a special Birthday cake for your own self. In fact, not just birthdays, celebrate every small occasion like promotion, completing a book, or going on a new adventure, celebrate life as you want it.

Work Out

After treating yourself with cake, you probably need a lot of workouts, however, that is not the only reason why you should make working out a regular thing.

Studies have shown positive results that working out regularly can boost your self-confidence and happy feelings while reducing stress and anxiety.

Another amazing reason to start working out is you get that fantastic feeling of achievement once you start noticing the results.

Give Compliments and Be Grateful

While trying to achieve everything we want, we often forget to appreciate what we already have and achieved.

Wishes and wants have no end, while you must continue to chase your dreams, do not forget to practice gratitude for everything that you have.

And while being grateful, do not forget to show your gratitude and appreciation to those around you. Give compliments to your near and dear ones and try to express how thankful you are to have them in your life.
