Are you looking to redecorate or renovate a tall room in your house in the near future? Rooms with high ceilings have several benefits.

First of all, during the warm summer months, it allows for greater air circulation and therefore will cool you and your guests down quicker.

When you don’t need to use cooling systems such as electrical fans and air conditioning, this will also save you time and money.

Another reason to consider high ceilings is how much they will open up the room. Guests won’t feel cramped or cooped up, especially during large parties.

Tall rooms also provide you with endless opportunities to install a range of elegant and unique decorations that bring the place to life.

With all that said, however, tall rooms do have some downsides. Mainly, they can be a nightmare when renovating the property!

A house renovation is an excellent chance to spruce up your home, whether applying a fresh lick of paint, replacing the lights, or installing new décor.

It should go without saying that this is significantly more difficult when you have high ceilings to contend with. However, the benefits of a renovation far outweigh the negatives.

There are methods for working around high ceilings and you shouldn’t be put off commencing the renovation you’ve always dreamed of.

In this article, Intelligent Scaffolding will talk us through some of the equipment you can use for renovations to rooms with high ceilings.

As a UK scaffolding company that focuses on scaffolding hire in Liverpool , Intelligent has served a wide variety of personal and commercial customers.

During their work, they’ve come across several obstacles, including working on buildings with high ceilings.

Scaffolding Systems for an All-in-One Solution

It would make sense that we start with Intelligent’s primarily service… scaffolding hire! Scaffolding is, without a doubt, one of the best solutions for working at height.

That’s why it is the optimal solution for large-scale construction projects. However, when it comes to smaller renovation projects in a personal home environment, too many people perhaps ignore this choice of method.

It doesn’t matter how small or big the project, or where the renovation is taking place, scaffolding remains a highly effective solution.

One of the key advantages of a scaffolding system is that it allows for an all-in-one solution. When the scaffolding platform is in place, you can effectively do any work that is required at height, including painting or installing decorations.

Scaffolding systems are built with safety in mind, so you can rest assured that you will be safe and secure while working.

Ladders for Reaching Height

If a scaffolding solution sounds a bit too extreme for what you require, you can always opt for the tried and trusted ladder to allow you to work at height.

However, this is not as simple a decision to make as you may think. There are several types of ladders that you can choose and it’s important to pick the right one for your specific job.

In this article, we will focus on two types of ladders, the extendable ladder, and the combination ladder. Extendable ladders are more advanced than your normal ladder and normally enable you to reach heights anywhere from 2 meters to 10 meters.

You simply extend the ladder to your desired height, lock it in place, and get to work. A combination ladder is quite similar, except comes with several sections that can be assembled.

They are most common in situations where the ladder is unable to rest on a stable surface such as a wall. Some ladders, especially combination ones, can include a platform so that you can stand on a stable platform while you work as opposed to the steps.

Extension Poles for Painting

If you are performing a basic painting job, then you may not need to physically reach height yourself. While replacing lights or installing new décor is an advanced job that requires close-up contact, painting is much more straightforward.

You can get an extension pole that can be attached to the paintbrush. All you need to do then is adjust it to the correct height and start brushing away.

It can, however, be a bit inefficient. Your arm may get tired after a short while and you may find yourself having to re-adjust the pole every time you need to apply more paint.

The option is also not the best if you want to be highly effective in applying the paint and want to get a close inspection of whether you have missed a spot or not.
