  1. Make Your Own Wallpaper

A great wallpaper can really bring a room to life. However, if you don’t have a budget for expensive wallpaper you might be at a loss of what to do.

You can, however, take the time to create your own wallpaper at a fraction of the cost. How? Simply grab a level and a piece of scrap wood and make vertical lines along your wall.

Use this crossed off section as a template for the rest of your design.

Design your ideal wall look with a pencil and then fill it in once you’re happy with light paint. Once you’ve done your template section, simply replicate across the rest of the wall! You can have a beautiful hand-drawn section done in no time.

  1. Homemade Coffee Station

Are you sick of having mugs filling up your cabinets? Wouldn’t it be nicer to wake up in the morning and head to a station set up specifically for your coffee? This dream can become a reality with just a little bit of work.

Sand a few pieces of wood and create a shelf. Make sure this shelf is large enough to hold whatever kind of coffee-maker you use: a french press, a 12-cup brewer, so forth. Install the self on a wall, ideally close as can be to a power outlet if you need it.

Then, install two or three pegs underneath and hang your favorite mugs directly on them. Put sugar, cinnamon, and your favorite coffee add-ons on the shelf as well.

All of a sudden, you have the perfect morning set-up.

  1. Build a Fire Pit

What about projects you can take on to improve your house exterior? There are many great tasks you can DIY in your very own backyard.

A fire pit can be a great one to take on. There’s nothing like resting with a fire during a cold fall night. All you’ll need to do is head to the hardware store and grab twenty to thirty pewter concrete blocks. You’ll then stacks these up into a base.

Put your wood and such inside and you’ll have created the perfect fire pit within a few hours. You can get started roasting marshmallows that very night.
