A toaster oven can make your life a whole lot easier. It is essential for your kitchen if you are someone who likes baking and eating baked items rather than fried. It’s a celebration if a toaster oven can also transform into an air fryer.

It is an up-size oven with the facility of a powerful ultra-hot-air fryer that fries your item crispy and crunchy.

Features

The Cuisinart’s TOA-60 Convection Toaster Oven comes with a variety of features that make it stand out and make it worthwhile.

It facilitates you in ways that make your jaw drop. There are some other best toaster ovens which have sorted out by Hemic experts and you might like one of them.

Power Light Indicator

The light will turn on and remain lit when the oven is in use making it safe and keeping you vigilant throughout. The indicator light also helps you in figuring out if there is power in your oven or not.

On / Oven Timer Dial

Use it to set the desired time for all functions except Toast. Setting the oven timer powers the unit on and begins the cooking cycle.

When the timer runs out, the unit will power off. It gives you the liberty to select and manage the cooking time according to your feasibility.

Oven Temperature Dial

Every recipe is unique and every protein has its own cooking time, the Cuisinart’s TOA-60 gives you the liberty to choose your own perfect temperature instead of preset temperatures.

Light Button

There is a button on the toaster that switches on the bulb inside the toaster so you can have a better look at your cooking. The bulb helps in attaining the perfect color for your buns and a lot more.

Power

The motor is rated at 1800 watts that make the oven a powerful one.

Safety Auto-Off Door Switch

The switch automatically switches off the oven when the door is open to avoid any mishaps. Please make sure the door is properly closed while using.

If you have kids at your home, keep the oven well out of the reach of children.

Pull-Out Crumb Tray

The oven comes with an already installed crumb tray at the bottom of the oven. While cooking it is inevitable that crumbs might fall, so for easy cleaning a tray has been attached. It can be easily pulled out and cleaned.

Cord Set

The oven comes with a shorter cord length to avoid tangling and tripping. The oven comes with a polarized plug, which means one blade is shorter than the other. So, the plug fits perfectly only one way to ensure proper plugging and unplugging.

Placement of Trays

Before we dive into the different operations of the product, we need to understand the correct positioning of the parts. The toaster comes with three trays:

  • Air fryer basket
  • Baking pan/Drip Tray
  • Oven Rack

For Baking:

You can simply put the oven rack or the Baking pan on either of the two shelf holders.

For Broiling and Airdrying:

You have to place the drip tray on a shelf and place the air fryer basket carefully on top of it.

Operations

Now that we have understood the placement of our trays, let’s see the different operations of the product.

Broiling

For broiling put the racks in the position recommended and turn the operation dial to broiling. If you wish you may set the timer for a fixed timer.

The timer will buzz once the time I over and the oven will automatically power off. For best results, it is advised to use glass oven dishes and keep the oven light switched on as food items tend to turn dark quickly while broiling.

Baking

For baking, again, place the rack as advised above. Dial the operation mode to baking and set the toaster to your desired temperature.

It is recommended to pre-heat the oven for 5 minutes before putting your batter is of delicate and spongy items like cakes, muffins, and brownies.

As it promises better results. Please note to add the pre-heating time in the overall recommended baking time.

For phenomenal results select bake for items like custards and eggs. Place the baking pan in the second shelf holder for most items and whole chicken however, for flat items like fresh pizza place the tray on the first shelf.

If you plan on using convection baking then see it for items that require browning like bread and scones. The best idea is to reduce the recommended temperature b 25F when using convection baking.

Toasting

Toasting may seem easy but it requires technique and tricks that yield the best result! Cuisinart’s Toaster is the best player in the game, to check out other players visit Hemic.

For toasting, it is recommended to place the oven rack in the first shelf holder and carefully place the food items in the center with even spacing in between the items.

Set the dial to toasting operation and fix the timer if you wish. For premium, toasting follows the position of the rack as recommended.

Now Comes the Big Elephant in the Room, How to Air Fry?

Air fryingis an alternative to frying with very fewer amounts or minute amounts of oil. Place the racks in the position as mentioned above; place the drip tray on the top shelf and place the air fryer basket carefully on top of it.

Turn the knob to air frying mode and turn the timer to your desired duration. Keep the oven light switched on if you are new to it.

Why Air Fry?

  • Food is cooked evenly

Air frying is a healthy choice and a great alternative to deep and shallow frying. It helps you keep your cholesterol under control.

Cleaning the Oven

Once you have used your toaster for cooking next comes, cleaning. It is very important to clean your oven to get rid of any smell and to no let, any bacteria grow inside of your oven.

It helps in the long run and increases the life of your oven. Before starting ensure your oven has completely cooled down. It should be unplugged from the electrical output to avoid shot-circuiting and electrocution.

Once the above-mentioned things are taken care of, select your brush and detergent carefully. The brush shouldn’t be too abrasive. Damp cloth pieces can be used for the exterior.

However, for interior use, a piece of nylon cloth or any soft cloth dipped in warm water and mild detergent.

You also utilize spray detergents with sponges. Clean the top of the oven after every use. It will keep the heat consistent. Never use the steel wool pads as they damage the finish of the oven.

The trays are not dishwasher safe. So, after every use, wipe them clean with soap and warm water.

If there is food residue stuck on the trays, immerse the trays in buckets of warm water and soap. Leave them soaked for 3-5 hours. Then gently rub it with a piece of cloth removing all residue.

A toaster oven allows you to make delicious and yummy delicacies for yourself and your loved ones. It is often used during the holiday season to bake whole chicken and turkeys to casually toasting bread for the breakfast.

A toaster oven should be compact and accessible, so it can easily fit on your countertop and you can use it without the struggles of moving the machine in and out of storage.
