The COVID 19 pandemic raging through the world has meant that a lot of us have had to spend our days in isolation with plenty of spare time on our hands. It might seem a tad difficult to fight that feeling of intense boredom and keep yourself occupied.

6 Fun Activities to Do When You Want to Spend Time with Yourself

However, it doesn’t have to be this way at all. Not if you can find several fun activities to do when you are alone or just plain want to spend time with yourself.

Let us take a quick look at some of the more interesting activities to keep you busy on your day off from work.

1. Meditate And Write Poetry and Songs

Meditation is one of the very best ways of calming your mind and inner consciousness. You can always learn the basic techniques online if you don’t know how to go about doing it.

If you do it right and on a regular basis, you will be able to reduce and even eliminate anxiety out of your life, altogether. It can also help you to manage stress even as you become more self-aware.

Finally, it might help you to connect with your inner creative self so that you can write poetry and songs too.

If you already know how to play an instrument you can set your song to music and create the next smash hit! In fact, why not learn to meditate and learn a musical instrument at the same time.

2. Learn A New Language or Skill

Learning something entirely new might just seem a tad daunting at least initially. However, that’s where the excitement comes in.

After all, you may never know where it might all lead. Right? You can learn martial arts and become a phenomenal fighter or you can start tinkering with electronic goods or something else.

That way, you might invent a completely new hobby that would allow you to spend your time productively. Who knows, it might even lead to a career change! If you are really interested in a hobby, you can try your hand at Lego sets, or collect coins.

Moreover, you can also accept the challenge of learning a new language. There are so many to choose from. French, German, Russian, even Chinese, and all of them have their own benefits.

3. Watch The Latest Blockbuster Action Movies or Read A Book

Watching movies is one of the most fun activities you can indulge in when you are alone. For example, you can go on an all-day binge on the Marvel universe and watch all 25 Avengers movies in one go! A virtually guaranteed way to get the thrills you need.

You can increase the fun factor by reading the books before or after watching the movies. This way, you will be able to enjoy the same movie storyline two times over. What could be more fun than that, especially if you order in and eat and watch at the same time.

4. Play Video Games

Today’s cutting-edge hyper-realistic games are just the thing to while away the long tedious hours when time weighs heavily on your hands.

You can break out an RPG (no not rocket-propelled grenade but role-playing game) or a first-person shoot ’em up, or even a horror game like  Resident Evil to get your chills and thrills.

5. Work out

Working out is always a good idea if you want to dedicate time and effort to yourself. You can consider treadmill exercises. They are effective at increasing heart rate to a healthy level, so they are also very beneficial as a warm-up exercise.

Elevating your heart rate to a healthy level will enable you to perform other exercises, such as weight training or other cardio exercises, with increased safety and success.

6. Go Biking

How about going biking and getting some fresh air in the bargain. Not only will you be able to enjoy the great outdoors but also get to meet new people who have the same hobby.

Here, it is imperative that you should start with an electric bike if you are a beginner, since riding it will be a much easier experience.

As a matter of fact, you can easily transform your traditional bike into a motorized one with the help of a motorized bicycle kit. This way biking will become an even more enjoyable activity, and a safer one as well.

Conclusion

If you are alone and bored, you should try to spend your time meditating, reading, or playing video games. You might also try to learn a new skill and language. Finally, you can explore the outdoors on your motorized electric bike as well. So go ahead and have fun!
