1. August Smart Lock Pro

Having a smart lock installed in your home is the first step in home improvement. These increase your house’s security by providing a deadbolt to your door. This system also gives you full voice control, which allows you to perform operations no matter where you are in the house.

August also has a doorbell cam for you to see who’s waiting at the other side of your door. You can view this camera from any screen that’s integrated into the home’s system. Speaking of the system, installing the August system is easy as it works well with most systems like Google Assistant and Alexa.

2. 5th Generation Ecobee

Ecobee is a great tool for controlling the temperature of your home. It provides you with a comprehensive user interface. This ensures you know what you’re doing even if you’re inexperienced with technology.

The device integrates well with your home’s system depending on whether you have Alexa installed. Installing it is still possible if you don’t have Alexa, albeit it will be trickier. Once it’s in your home’s system, you have total control of the temperature in the house.

You can even make different rooms have different temperatures with the Ecobee. The improved sensors of this generation allow you to have an accurate read of the temperatures of each room. You can even play different music in each room because of its integration with Spotify.

3. Philips Hue White A19

Smart lights are among the first things you often think of when you’re thinking of a high-tech home. These lights will dim on command and will turn on automatically when you walk into the room. These are the definition of a high-end technological home for some.

You can have these kinds of lights in your home with the help of Philips Hue White. They even have a starter kit to help you set up your home. It includes 2 of their bulbs and a hub network to help connect it to your home.

You can add more bulbs if you like what you see. The brightness of their bulbs is also adjustable up to 800 lumens. This makes them perfect for you if you want a bright home.

You can also hook the bulbs up to multimedia devices with the help of the Philips Hue Sync system. Doing this makes the bulbs go in sync with any media you’re watching or listening to. This can add to the atmosphere of any event you’re holding at home.

4. Nest Protect

A great way to protect your new home is by having a Nest Protect installed. The Nest is a top-notch smoke detection and fire prevention system.

The system can detect the faintest traces of smoke in rooms where there shouldn’t be any smoke. It can also detect traces of carbon monoxide in the air. It will then give you a vocal alert if it detects anything.

This system’s purpose is to stop slow-burning fires in their tracks before it gets any worse. It can do it without fail if you connect it to your house’s system. You can also link it with other smart home features like sprinklers.

Linking it to Philip Hue lights is also possible. This ensures they shut down as the Nest Protect detects a fire. This will prevent any electrical factors from contributing to the fire.

5. Chamberlain MyQ

If you want to achieve home automation, the Chamberlain will bring you one step closer. This is an automated garage door opener that you didn’t know you needed.

Installing the Chamberlain is as easy as installing your first security camera. Google placed an extensive instruction manual with its product for everyone to get to know its features. Using the Chamberlain is also easy because of its simple interface.

Chamberlain removes the need for you to fumble with the garage door remote as you pull into the driveway. You won’t even need to do anything for it to open soon enough.

Google plans to integrate geofencing into its system. This means that as soon as you enter the designated area, your garage door will open by itself.

6. Amazon Echo

A home assistant like the Amazon Echo is the first thing you should buy for your smart home. It will allow you to interact with Alexa and other home systems. This will make it possible for you to set up a system to connect the different rooms of your house.

Amazon Echo is a step above other speaker systems because of 2 things: its seamless integration with Alexa, one of the most popular home systems today, and its affordable cost.

You’ll get your money’s worth and more with Amazon Echo.

7. Arlo Q

Having security cameras is a staple for your high-end home. You will want to keep your home monitored with all the new features you’re installing. The Arlo Q is the best camera for the job.

This camera has great motion detection and tracking. This means Arlo will keep its eye on anyone caught moving around in its range.

Arlo also has a great scheduling system for you to use. It is easy to have it more active at night with this feature.

Another great feature with Arlo Q is that you have free cloud storage for your 1080p videos.

8. Shark Ion R85

A smart home isn’t a great home if it’s dirty. With all the automation you’re installing, why not have a smart vacuum cleaner, too?

The Shark Ion R85 is the best Roomba in the market today. It will clean up all dust and dry debris in your home for you. Everything from pet hair to dust won’t be your problem anymore with the Shark Ion.
