The master bathroom is one of the more expensive houses in any home.

There are many different materials used in even a small bathroom, and most people want higher-end materials to have a luxurious master bathroom.

Here’s what you can expect to pay when remodeling your master bathroom

The Average Master Bathroom Remodel Cost

When you’re remodeling a bathroom, chances are that you want to upgrade some of the materials that are already there.

Even a small bathroom can come with big bills when you’re remodeling it. According to Angi, the average master bathroom remodel costs between $10,000 and $15,000.

However, the size of the bathroom and the materials that will be used make all the difference.

If you have a large bathroom and are getting a lot of bathroom glass, marble, and/or granite, you can pay close to $100,000 for a high-end bathroom.

Choosing Features

There is a wide range of features that you can add during a bathroom remodel to make it more pleasant to be in.

Knowing exactly what you want to add to the bathroom before you start can help you to come up with a realistic budget for the remodel.

The use of glass in the master bathroom can even be high-end with expensive types that go from clear to opaque by flipping a switch.

There are heated floors, stand-alone bathtubs, towel warmers, and digital faucets that allow you to program your favorite temperature in them.

You might also want to have more than one showerhead to provide an immersive experience.

If your bathroom features a closet, you may want to have built-ins added to it. You also have to keep in mind the material costs of the bathroom cabinets if you are replacing them.

It’s common to use marble or granite for the countertops, and you may want an expensive sink with a great design.

The flooring may be marble or tile, and both can be expensive depending on the type you choose. If you are upgrading your lighting, you may need new electrical wiring as well as new fixtures.

A stand-alone shower is generally more pricey than having a tub/shower combination, and upgraded showers are often made of tile.

Between the towel bars, the new paint job, the exhaust fan, drains, dimmers, and other touches, the master bathroom remodel costs can just keep adding up.

It’s always nice to have a finished, relaxing bathroom to spend some alone time in. Check out Angi (formerly Angie’s List) to find a bathroom remodeling contractor in your area.
