2. Measuring Tape
Another must-have for your toolbox is a measuring tape. Ideally, it should be able to measure a length of up to 25 feet. It will come in handy when measuring an entire room for new flooring or carpeting.
The blade must be about an inch wide so that it does not fold or collapse when extended over a few feet. If you want, you could also get a second, smaller tape that can measure six to 12 feet.

You can use a cordless drill to drill pilot holes for fasteners, like screws and nails, or cut large holes for specialized jobs. Most brands come with two batteries, so you can swap one out for the other and work continuously on any task.
7. Saw
No toolbox is complete without a saw, so it should be next on your list. There are several types that you can choose from depending on your need. A toolbox saw will fit in nicely in your storage and would be great for small jobs. If you need more power, try a jigsaw or a circular saw.
8. Utility Knife
A utility knife is aptly named, as it can be a real workhorse. Whether you use it to open boxes, score drywall, or cut corrugated cardboard, there’s no end to what it can do.
Most brands come with retractable blades and non-slip handles for safe use. Plus, you can replace the blade without the need for any tools. Just make sure you also get spares in your toolbox.
