1. Sanitizing Sponges

If you forget to buy new sponges for cleaning your plates or other appliances, you can follow this tip and reuse your existing sponge. You can keep your existing sponge in the microwave for a few minutes to make it hot.

It kills most of the germs and bacteria present in the old sponge. With this technique, your old sponge will be alike new as it won’t have any germs on it.

2. Cleaning Washing Machine

Yes! Your washing machine that cleans your clothes needs to cleaned too at times. Washing machines, if left uncleaned, have the tendency to grow mold inside and under the seal.

You can use your old toothbrush and a washcloth to clean mold along with all other dirt from the nook and corner of your washing machine. Your clothes will be even fresh and clean after you clean your washing machine.

3. Cleaning Kitchen Sink Disposal

Your kitchen drain might be one of the dirtiest parts of your home. You might think that it cleans itself by just letting the water flow, but it is not. You should clean it regularly to get rid of all the germs from it.

You can use an old toothbrush to clean your sink. To get rid of the germs and to have a good odor, you can put some baking soda, lemon, liquid dishwasher, or white vinegar in your sink.

Leave any of these items in your sink for a couple of hours and clean it to get a fresh odor from your sink.

4. Cleaning the Grease

If you have a lot of furniture in your home like wood cabinets, wood doors, etc, then you might have noticed the dirt that accumulates there in the form of grease. The thick grease that forms on your wooden furniture is tough to remove away even when you regularly clean them.

In this case, you can use a mixture of vinegar, water, and olive oil to clean the grease with your washing cloth. This mixture works well in removing the thick grease from your furniture.

5. Removing Stains from Upholsteries

Water spills and other stains are common on your upholsteries like car sheats, sofa, couch, etc. It makes your upholsteries look odd and ugly. To remove these stains, you can use the mixture of club soda, white vinegar, and water.

Toasters and other stainless steel appliances in our home build up sticky skin overtime. You can make your stainless steel appliances shine again like new by following this simple tip.

Mix some amount of cream of tartar with a few drops of water and then rub this mixture with a washcloth on your stainless steel appliance.

Finally, wipe the appliance clean with normal water to make it look brand new.

7. Cleaning Window Blinds

First, wrap the dust cloth on each side of the tonga and keep it in place using a rubber band.

Now you can clean your binds by clasping the cloth-covered tong and sliding over the window blinds. It will quickly remove all the dust from your binds.

8. Making Your Faucets Shiny

Faucets and other appliances in our home lose their shininess over time as it gets used with the water. Water spots get all over your faucet and tap to make it look old.

To make it look new and shiny again, you can use wax paper and rub your faucets. It will bring back the lost shininess to make your faucet look new.

9. Cleaning Stove

Cooking stoves, especially the glass stoves get messy with the spumes and food spills. You have to clean them quickly or they’ll leave spots all over your stove to make it look ugly and old.

To remove these spots, you can sprinkle some baking soda over your cook stove and clean it with a sponge. It will make your stove shiny and clean.

10. Cleaning Vacuum Filter

The vacuum filter gets messy over time with dust and dirt. They also give out bad odor if they are not properly cleaned.

To remove the bad odor and to clean thoroughly, you can clean your vacuum filter using your dishwasher. You should not put any other dishes along with it.

11. Cleaning Light Bulbs

You need to dust your lightbulb carefully as to not break it, so it may not be properly cleaned every time. To thoroughly clean a lightbulb, you need to first remove it.

This way of cleaning will remove all the dust from the light bulbs. Finally, place the bulb back in its place and clean occasionally using a lamb’s wool duster.
