8 Creatively Ways You Can Use Storage Spaces

Research in the United States (2009) has shown that clutter can make us feel stressed, anxious, and depressed.

When the mess around you starts to affect your mental health adversely, its time for you to get creative with the space you have; look at these eight tips to use the storage spaces to kickstart your imagination creatively.

Get Baskets

You don’t need to have space on shelves and closets to fit your belongings. There is always plenty of storage space on top of and underneath your furniture.

All you have to do is purchase baskets to keep things in. You can then place these baskets under your bedroom closet or stack them up in a corner.

However, make sure that these baskets are neat-looking and simple. If not, they can destroy the look of your house and make it look even more cluttered.

Labeling baskets for your convenience are another wise thing you can do. It will save time and keep you from getting confused when you are in a hurry to find something.

Using Storage Units

You don’t need to fit everything in your house. Even after much effort, you cannot make space for loads of things you own. You can make use of self-storage services in a situation like this.

These services are provided in places like billings mt storage units where you can rent space to store your belongings.

Things that you do not frequently use or have become redundant can be sent off to these units. It will reduce the amount of frustration from having a house cramped with your possessions.

Install Shelves

you can always install new shelves if the existing ones are not enough. A clever trick is to install a shelve along all your bedroom walls.

It will buy you a substantial amount of extra storage space for things. Floating shelves look modern and will keep things off the floor.

Ensure that your new shelf is placed on a long wall that is not too congested for a tidy appearance.

Drawers in a Bed Frame?

This is one of the most efficient furniture pieces to exist. A bed frame that also has storage space serves two purposes.

It may seem like a huge expense, but it will serve a purpose for a long time. Cabinets on the headboard or sides can give you plenty of space to store things. Invest in this modern piece of furniture for long-term relief.

Install a Pegboard

Pegboards are a creative solution to your storage problems. They can also make your room or workspace looks cooler. The best part is that you can treat it like a fun project and do it yourself.

Get a pegboard panel, a few screws, and a drill machine. You can paint the pegboard according to the color theme of the room. You can then use it to hang all kinds of things. Buy some baskets that you can put things in and hang.

You can also use it as a jewelry organizer. There are hundreds of organization tools that are available to hang on pegboards. Surf the internet to get your hands on some of them.

Hanging Things

What do you do when there is less space on the floor? You hang things to keep them off the ground. Adding hooks to your doors and kitchen cabinets is a clever way to increase storage space.

When there is not enough closet space, use these hooks to hang your clothes. You can also hang kitchen utensils on these. It will allow you to use the kitchen drawers for storing something else.

There is a piece of equipment to hang anything you want on the internet, from fruits to hats. All you have to do is find the right place to stick these hooks and hangers.

Furniture Risers

Risers are cups that can go under your furniture to lift them off the ground. If you do not have a bed with space underneath, these can help.

You can use these to make extra storage space under your bed or other furniture. They come in a set of small and large cups so you can adjust them according to your liking.

These can range from $18 to $35, depending on the size and quality you want to have.

The Value of Old Curtain Rods

Old curtain rods are a great way to make some off-the-floor storage. A fun way to use them would be to put your shoes on them. This will put your shoe collection on display and make your place look cooler.

It will also be easier to find the right shoe with everything perfectly displayed. Another way to use these rods would be as a hanger for clothes. Put all your heavy jackets and long coats on these. It will empty your closet to a great extent.

Making space in a small place might seem impossible at first. You have to remind yourself that coming up with creative solutions will make your life easier.

Do not treat this as a chore. Rather try fun DIY projects that are functional and easy. If things get too overwhelming, you can always use an external unit to store daily things you don’t reach out for.
