Some people or farmers have small gardens or farms to grow strawberries. Therefore, they can grow strawberries in pots. People who have not seen or never heard about strawberry pots then here is a description: Strawberry pots are un-shaped pots with pockets along the sides. Other strawberry pots can be 2 feet tall with lots of pockets running along the sides. Strawberry plants are divided into three groups; they are June bearing, ever bearing, and day-neutral.

Experts suggest growing Ever bearing and day-neutral, as they will give strawberries throughout the year. Strawberries are best to grow in containers and even in the house. All it requires proper sunlight, if you are growing it indoor. If the plant is planted where sunlight cannot reach then artificial sunlight can be given. Strawberries should be grown in early springtime in inner areas with a cold winter.

Strawberries soil should have pH value between 5.3 and 6.5, but it can also grow in soil with little high pH or low pH value. Roots of strawberry plant should be trimmed so it can grow to 4-5 inches. Strawberry plant should be fertilized once in a month and when it starts bearing flowers then it should be fertilized in every 10 days until season is over.

This plant is a perennial plant, but it produces well in or about 3 years. Tomato feed is a good fertilizer for strawberry plant as it contains potassium. This plant contains 95% of water. If strawberry plant is watered again and again then it will produce tiny and hard strawberries, but if required amount of water is given then it will produce juicy and soft strawberries. Water the plant when you see the soil dried.

Other factors which are included are niacin (0.4mg), vitamin B6 (0.1mg), vitamin B12 (0.1mcg), folic acid (26.4mcg), sodium (2mg), calcium (21mg), iron (0.6mg), potassium (47mg), zinc (0.2mg), magnesium (16mg) and calories (45kcal).

The health benefits from nutritional value of strawberries are so many. By rubbing teeth with a piece of strawberry may prevent the problems of tarter & increase the strength and tightness on teeth and gums. It gives shine to teeth. Strawberries are rich in fiber so it helps body to absorb the nutrients. This fruit is best for patients of diabetes as they regulate the level of glucose in body. 

The high level of antioxidants in strawberry prevents the damage occurs due to the free radicals in body. It also helps the body to repair the tissues by providing the additional boost of vitamin C. Strawberries are natural resource of vitamins, minerals and fibers, which give benefits to human body. It is low calorie, sweet, easily available and easy to grown fruit.

One serving of strawberries provides an amount of 210mg of potassium to body. This is an ingredient, which helps to regulate the electrolyte in body, which can reduce the risks of stroke and heart attack. Therefore, good source of sunlight should be there for the strawberries to grow well. Strawberries grow well in rich soil so the dig should be deep. Water the strawberry plant well as the right amount of water should be given else one has to compromise with the quality of the strawberry. To stop snails from attacking the strawberries then throw the beer jar lids as snails love beer. Do not spray insecticides when it flowers.
