Are you thinking about getting a gazebo for your backyard? There are many different options out there, and you want to be sure the gazebo you select meets all of your needs. If you haven’t purchased a gazebo before, you may not realize all of the factors you need to keep in mind.

Best Way to Shop for Gazebos

There are so many types and designs these days. Here are a few of the ways you can shop for gazebos to ensure that you purchase one that works for you.

By Size

The first thing many people consider when shopping by size for a gazebo. You want to make certain your new gazebo will fit in your yard.

Beyond that, however, you want to make certain that it looks right. If you buy a large gazebo but have a very small backyard, it may fit but it will make the entire space feel off.

On the other hand, a small gazebo in a large yard will make the gazebo look and feel even smaller.

Also keep in mind other buildings, trees, and landscaping. A yard with several trees, flowerbeds, and a shed may look crowded if you add a large gazebo.

One good tip for getting an idea of how your gazebo will look is to measure out the gazebo using stakes and string. This may help you visualize the gazebo in your yard better and let you see how it will look relative to everything else in the space.

By Style

If you want your gazebo to look a certain way, you’ll certainly want to prioritize the style first, then the size. There are a number of different styles available. Some are fairly simple and traditional.

Others are more modern looking. Some are very ornate, while others are plain. You’ll find everything from the traditional rounded gazebo to a rectangular or square one.

Some are more open, while others may have sides that provide some privacy.

The material used in gazebos also varies and plays a part in its style. You may want your gazebo to have a style similar to your home , or you might want something that fits a certain theme.

While gazebos are typically made from wood, you can also find ones made from aluminum or wrought iron.

By Price

Of course, your budget is going to play a role in selecting your gazebo. You may want to shop by price first, then see what you can afford in the options available.

While this may seem logical, there are some reasons for looking at gazebos outside of your budget. You may see one that has the perfect style for you but is larger or more ornate than you like.

You can then shop by both budget and style to see what looks similar but is within your price range.

If you are shopping online most websites have a feature that will let you sort the items by price. There are even websites that will feature products within a specific price point range.

Examples like this are the best gazebos under $250. This can be very helpful for those that have to stick with a specific price point.

By Functionality

Some gazebos are designed to lend themselves to specific functions. Some include built-in benches and are perfect for hanging out and chatting.

Others are designed for use as a bar and have everything you would need to serve drinks and host a party. Some have built-in planters or ceilings that provide plenty of places to hang plants from.

You may even want to look for a gazebo that has roll-down screens or cloth sides that can be closed to create a cozy outdoor room. If you have a specific function in mind for your gazebo, you may want to prioritize that during your search.

Typically, several of these factors will play a part in finding the perfect gazebo. Pick one to use as your primary shopping guide, then use the others to help you narrow down the results.

Again, there are plenty of online guides that can help you in choosing the right product for you and your family. The perfect gazebo for you is out there, so don’t be afraid to keep looking until you find it.
