In all honesty, cleaning your entire house can seem like a Herculean task. Not only can the entire process come out as stressful, it can also be time-consuming. There is always that shelf you need to wipe dust from, the floor would always need scrubbing, not to forget the cabinets, drawers, and closet that would need to be arranged.

A disorganized house can make you feel like a filthy person, especially in cases where visitors call you out of the blues to tell you they would be in your house in a couple of hours. This can make anyone go into a panic attack. But guess what? With a number of hacks, you can clean your whole house in just about an hour.

With the right tools in motion, you can get your house looking spick and span. To get started, put on some old and extremely comfortable clothes (and footwear). You could also turn on your music player and listen to great tunes as you tidy up your house.

Let us get you started!

Kitchen

The kitchen is definitely one of the busiest parts of the house. Asides from the fact that a whole lot of cooking goes on in there, it could be a little messy, especially if there are tons of dishes that have not been washed. To begin here, the first thing you have to do is to load up the dishwasher. After this, remove everything on the countertops and quickly put them back where they belong.

The emptier the countertops look, the cleaner your kitchen would be. Clean up the crumbs, oils, and spills away from the countertops. You could use an all-purpose spray with a fine piece of cloth to get this done. Don’t forget to wipe the fridge, gas and any other surfaces in the kitchen. Before you leave, make sure you sweep up and mop off any dirt in the kitchen floor. In total, this should take you about ten minutes or less.

Bedroom

If the bedroom is cleaned the right way, it would take you less than ten minutes. The first thing you do here is to take out your laundry basket and put the clothes littered around the bed, floor, and cabinets. In essence, fix anything that is out of place, even if it is under the bed.

After, make the bed and place all pillows in their right places. Clean up your windows, cabinet surfaces and mirrors. When you’re don’t with all of that, begin to vacuum clean the entire floor by running the vacuum over each strip of the carpet. When all of this is done, you still have about forty minutes left.

Living Room

In most cases, it is the largest room in the entire house. Because of this, you would use thirty minutes approximately when tidying it up. First of all, take a quick glimpse at the room to put everything out of place. Things like DVDs, magazines, newspapers, and journals should be kept in their rightful places. Just like you did in the bedroom, clean all surfaces so the dust will fall on the floor.

This way, it is quite easy to sweep and vacuum clean the floor. Also, dust all the sofas and arrange the throw pillows in an attractive manner. You can then fix the ornaments, figurines and other forms of decoration in the sitting area.

Bathroom and Toilet

As nasty as it may seem, cleaning the bathroom and toilet could actually be more fun than you think. It would take you about fifteen minutes or more, depending on how fast you can move. Start by scrubbing the sink and tiles with an effective scouring powder. Use a hard brush to scrub it very well. After, use a tiny brush or an old toothbrush to fix spots that are difficult to reach.

Do this in a horizontal manner and fix up every dirty spot you find in there. For the toilet, put some scouring powder or baking soda into the commode. Wash thoroughly with the brush then flush immediately. You could also add some bleach into it to make the toilet look sparkling. This can be done in fourteen minutes, depending on how fast you are.

Study Area

When you’re done with the majority of the house, focus on the study. It might be easy because most things in the study are books. All you have to do is just put them in place. Take away anything that doesn’t belong there, even if it is a bag. Put all pens and writing materials in a drawer or small container. If you have a computer or printer in your study area, clean and dust it with a soft cloth, just like you did the other time. This should take you about ten minutes or less.

Surroundings

This should come last. On your way to clean your surroundings, take away the trash from inside the house with you. Pick up any dirt on the floor; sweet wrappers, cookie wraps, and soda cans. Make sure the floors are clean too. Dust the doormats at the entrance of the house so your visitors won’t use their footwear to carry dirt into the house. This should take you roughly twelve minutes to do.

Finally, go inside the house and take a quick look at everything you need to fix. Check out every single room to fix up any spot you must have missed out. Check for any spills on the countertops, check for books you must have left on the floor in the study area. After you’re done with this, remember to put your house cleaning pieces of equipment in their rightful places. Dry your mop, wash the brushes and the cloth you used to clean your house.

With these hacks in mind, you can get your house in a clean state in less than an hour. Remember, with the right pace and music, of course, you can chair your house look as tidy as ever in just one hour!
