Right from buying the storage boxes, packing all your belongings, organizing a removalist, and cleaning the property top to bottom for the hand over to the real estate agency or the landlord, it would take days if not weeks, says Mick from VR Digital who remembers the ordeal during his interstate move.

On top of that, you need to sort out all formalities and arrangements for the move to a new place like organizing utilities.

No task in the above list is optional. However, what can help is to have the correct knowledge and hire the right people to assist. Be it the packers, movers, or cleaners, you don’t want to increase your troubles by hiring inexperienced people.

While most people understand that they need to book a removalist to transport their furniture and other stuff, what is often neglected is the importance of hiring professional cleaners.

If you think, you can give it a quick once over in a couple of hours and you will get your bond back, you are up for a shocking surprise.

Property managers are very particular about the detailed cleaning of the house, and they are rather good at finding faults even when professionals have cleaned it.

But with professionals like CBC who offer 100% Bond Back Guarantee on End of Lease Cleaning, you don’t need to worry. If the property owner or the agent gets fussy and nit-pick cleaning, you can just let the cleaning company know and they would revisit to rectify the issues.

Below are things that you need to confirm when making a booking with the bond cleaners in your city.

  1. Confirm that they offer a Bond Back Guarantee on their cleaning. Also, within what period you must report the issues to them to organize a reclean. Often this is somewhere between 72 hours to 7 days. That means you need to make sure that you have made arrangements with your real estate to inspect within that period. You don’t want to be waiting too long where the agent has organized an inspection with another tenant and the bond back guarantee period has expired.
  2. Check what are inclusions and exclusions in the checklist. Often Walls, blinds, and outdoor cleaning are not part of the standard list and can be added on request. If there is any mold on the property, you might need to contact mould removal specialist.
  3. Most likely your property manager would ask for a receipt as evidence of professional cleaning. So, you need to check if the cleaning company that you are hiring would issue you an invoice or a receipt upon completion of work.
  4. Another you want to make sure of is that company you are hiring is local. There are websites that you are being run by people located overseas who are impossible to get hold of when things go wrong with the service. Local cleaners should be a preferred choice.
  5. When comparing the quotes, you want to make sure you have fixed price quotes with similar scope of work. Comparing oranges with apples won’t help make the right decision. It might sound cheap at first, but often prove costlier at the end.
  6. Pay at least some portion of the cleaning fee by bank transfer. That would ensure that the business is legitimate. If a company deals in only cash, steer clear of them.

If you follow the above, you can’t get go wrong with hiring an end-of-lease vacate cleaner.
